Many law firms offer newsletters and other resources that can be extremely helpful in keeping up with changes in the hedge fund and broker-dealer industries. There are too many too name but here are a few of our favorites:
Schulte is one of the top law firms for all things hedge fund. The newsletters and other information that they have available are terrific.
Dechert is a top notch law firm and their materials on asset management are terrific.
Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan
Sutherland publishes a lot of material – particularly about FINRA broker-dealer issues. Eminently readable and helpful! Free links to regulatory sites and other places.
WilmerHale is one of the top firms for regulatory issues – particularly in the broker-dealer space. Their website frequently publishes a lot of useful info.
Cadwalader
Cadwalader has developed a lot of resources including a web based research site called the “Cabinet”. There’s public access to a lot of the information – and then you can pay for more detailed analysis (though its pricy and their practice is stronger on banking and derivatives and less so on broker-dealer and fund work).
